Prodo, our DM

Started in the town square and went to the tavern/inn, after Lebiniz tried to steal from the magic item shop and got arrested. At the tavern they saw a man and woman fight (the woman easily kicked the man’s ass). Found out the woman’s name is Brook and she is traveling with a female elf who is mute.

Upstairs found a group of gnomes who invited Scott to join them in drinking the eternal life elixir. Several talked to the monk with the quarter staff containing the power of a supernova. One room the men wouldn’t let you in. After extended rest, Scott found the gnomes dead, and took their clothes. They all found out the Monk was actually Kord (Kord is a god).

They travel to the Library. Thief stole healing infusion from Lebiniz (Lebiniz didn’t care). They can’t look at books because of Headmaster of WOTEM’s (Wizards of the Eight Magic’s) new policy. Talked to students and learned about many things including the dragon marks and the significance of the altar of Bahamut.

They traveled to the Magic School, and ran into a thief stealing a rod from the school (but she convinced the group she had permission from the headmaster to take the rod to heal her sick father). Scott followed her to town square but lost her. A female paladin rushed by the group and headed into the school. They entered the school to find the Headmaster and Knight Commander (leader of the paladins) arguing about the theft. Scott, Lebiniz and Lucius try to enter school and learn requirements.

They get the Paladin’s escort to the Library, and have 2 hours to look at books. Scott, Lebiniz, and Lucius obtain a few lesser feats from reading books.

They travel to the Housing District.

  • First House: Group of Gnomes listening to an armored gnome’s stories (they learn the gnome is a companion of Brook and the mute elf and they are headed to Bahamut’s alter in 5 days).
  • Second House: The building is burning and 3 wilden children beg the players to save their mother. (They went in with Guile’s Theme playing. They learned the father was also inside. The party saves both parents, obtained the Amulet of Light as a reward, and gave them a place to stay (with the gnomes)).
  • Third House: They knocked on the door and a small elf girl answered. Her father talked to the group and went back to eating dinner (nothing important happened).
  • Fourth House: Approached the house to hear movement and a man screaming (Anat kicked the door open and the group saw a man and woman making love on the table, and a chest in the corner of the house) the couple screamed at the group and pushed them out of the house and closed the door then shamelessly went back to making love (Scott opened the door and asked for clothes which he was given) (Lebiniz circled around the house and was seen looking in through the window) the woman saw him covered the window then they moved to the bed (Lucius ordered his slave to unlock the window and remove the cover which she did successfully) (Lebiniz then snuck in the house opened the chest found a magic ring and hit his knee escaping) this alerted the man who saw Lebiniz leaving (Lebiniz then left the ring in front of the house) House: The door was locked and when the group knocked they were asked for a code (after several attempts they decided to leave) House: Approaching the house the group found a woman with an injured arm and leg who was bleeding out, as they got closer she collapsed (they used a lot of healing surges to heal her, then she told them where to take her (the locked house)).
  • Fifth House: The group approached the locked door then let the girl take over she did a series of knocks and the man opened the door and lead the group to Dunther (The group found out Dunther hired the girl to assassinate his old friend Yorth who learned necromancy and slaughtered a village) (the assassin argued with Dunther and said she gave him bad info and she almost died so she quits, she then gave the group magic boots)

(The group then decides they are going to split up)

(Anat and Lebiniz wanted to tell the paladins and let them deal with it) (Lucius and Scott wanted to go to the inn and slay him themselves)

Church: (only Anat and Lebiniz went to the church) They entered and heard the priests chant in Elven, Draconic, and Supernal (Lebiniz understood draconic) Lebiniz went to confession and Anat sat down in the main room of the church as the priests finished the chant (Anat and Lebiniz both saw the dragon idol the priests prayed too but didn’t donate money to the church)

Inn: (only Scott and Lucius went to the inn) (Scott bought drinks for Yorth and his men which they didn’t accept) (He then turned into Dunther and asked to talk to Yorth). They let Scott in and Yorth talked to him. (Scott (acting as Dunther) convinced Yorth that he did not send the assassins and instead he wants to help him get rid of the assassins once and for all). Yorth was skeptical but agreed to meet him in the exact same place tomorrow (end for Scott and Lucius).

Paladin headquarters: (only Anat and Lebiniz). A large group of paladins rushed by them before they entered. As they entered, Darmack greeted them and apologized for the poor timing, and then explained a necromancer has raised a bunch of undead and attacked the farms and that most of the paladins have been sent to fight him). (Lebiniz examined the Knight Commander’s Dragon Slaying armor) (They also talked to Zeeth the captain of the Squad left to guard the Paladin headquarters and learned they were left to guard the place because of the new recruit Narim who had just joined their squad) (End for Anat and Lebiniz)

The DnD: June 21, 2011

Though the game was played a day late and three players short, we trekked on as follows:

Our adventurers found an abandoned building on the backside of the island.

After going inside, they found the Witch Hunters, as well as a rather interesting puzzle. Various levers were placed throughout the room, and a big black door was preventing their path. It was inferred that the levers would open the door, but pulling them in what combination would do that?

(Solution is in the forum!)

After solving this puzzle and barricading the door to prevent the Witch Hunters from following them, the party moved below to the next floor. Once there, they split up and fought two separate battles:

Group 1: Prodo, Kuhan, Sam vs. Greater Goats x 2
Group 2: Akira, Effy, Leiara vs. Goats x 3

Group 1 EXP/PERSON: 166
Group 2 EXP/PERSON: 200

What could possibly be up ahead…?

The DnD: June 12th, 2011

As our DM proclaimed, our progress is thus:

So, our adventurers finally left the town and explored the forest.

Yukari had also resurrected all the Witch Hunters and erased pretty much everyone’s memories about the battle. Although some party members wanted to kill Yukari, thinking she was the witch, a supernatural force took over and knocked all of them unconscious. This gave her plenty of time to resurrect everyone, and thus, when they went exploring, it was nighttime.

Once in the forest, they were attacked by:

Golden Butterflies (x2)
Goat Butlers (x5)

EXP/PERSON: 170

(As soon as the goats were killed, their bodies vanished, and the golden butterflies exploded upon death, so no loot was found.)

Next time: we finally get to solve some puzzles! Or at least, I hope we do!
